okay where the wire comes out from the alternator their is another wire
ReplyDeletewith a fuse, do you know what that wire is for because i cant figure that
out ?
I have a 16 hp craftsman mower and I was wanting to k ow how to take the
ReplyDeletegovernor off an why isn't mine charging my battery ?
Thank you for making a rats nest seem so simple to fix.?
ReplyDeletePlease show how to wire up the fuel cutoff solenoid on the carb for those
ReplyDeleteof us who have one, using your new simple wiring plan. A few of us have
asked about this. Thanks, hope to get a reply. ?
just wondering when you finished rewiring why didn't you reuse the wire
ReplyDeleteloom just a thought.?
Yes I seen on a post that you no alot about v twin motors will I did the
ReplyDeleterewire with push button start and kill switch I found wires from alternater
I took red wire ran it to battery side on solenoid then took another wire
ran it to push button switch then from push button switch to side of
solenoid then on other post of solenoid ground out then I ran wire from
coil to a regular toggle switch then grounded switch out then I went to try
starting and solenoid would just click so I thought ground was bad redid
ground and solenoid would not even click so I hook it back up the way I had
it and nothing and when solenoid it click I had 12volts coming in to
solenoid and 12 going out and 12 at starter and still nothing and I no
factory wiring in Mower so no safety switches could you please help me ?
Is there a way to bypass the fuel cutoff solenoid. if you have one???
ReplyDeletePlease Help. cut all wiring off and got rid of plug full of wires hooked to
ReplyDeleteignition. New battery, new solenoid, new starter. Cut wires coming down
from top of motor, 4 wires, they are now not hooked up to anything. One
battery post wired to ground, positive post wired to solenoid. One ignition
push button screw wired to small thing on solenoid, other screw on button
wired to positive terminal on solenoid. Wire going to starter from
solenoid. Push button and NOTHING at all happens.?
hey fearless front, I have everything hooked up, but where would I place
ReplyDeletethe carburetor solenoid wire on a solenoid??
I followed your wiring instructions and bypassed the safety switches, and
ReplyDeletecut my foot off the first time I cranked the mower. I'm suing!
Just kidding. Your video helped me immensely! I never understood the
purpose of all those safety switches, except for the seat switch. It makes
sense if you fell off, so the mower wouldn't keep going and run over
something or drive itself into the street. But the others seem pointless. I
mean, I'm pretty sure if I'm about to crank my mower I'm going to have my
foot on the brake and the transmission in neutral. I am also pretty sure I
know the blades would start spinning immediately if I cranked it with the
mower deck down and the blades engaged. But we live in a world full of
idiots with lawyers on speed dial...
Again, thanks for helping me get my free mower running with your excellent
information! Next step: toggle switch for the headlights. Not that I'll
ever mow in the dark, but I use my mowers for hauling stuff too, like logs
and such, and moving my teardrop camper around the property. ?
I have a mtd yard machine and try rewiring it but when I connect the red
ReplyDeletewire to recharge the battery it sparks and if I hold it it starts smoking
from the altinatot ?
alright thanks i don't have an issue with it either but just don't need
ReplyDeletethat wire to run the lights because i run it straight from the battery and
thought i could get a little bit more of a charge by doing it this way
thanks?
Know*?
ReplyDeletewould it work if i put in a fuse box and ran a few toggle switches for the
ReplyDeletefuel pump, headlights, and the kill? But if i did that, idk how i would
hook up the push button for the start. Any advice??
So you have 2 wires on your engine. I have briggs opposed engine that has 3
ReplyDeletewires. What is the third wire for??
Hi fearless I have a john deere stx 38 and it has a problem whenever we use
ReplyDeletethe ignition switch nothing happens but the weird thing is when I hot wire
it the starter gear spins but does not lift up to catch the flywheel and
spin it ?
alright thanks
ReplyDeleteso how would i avoid the issue of running the lights to the that wire,
where else in the wiring system can i put it, that it will be used because
i was just going to run it to the battery to get re charged by that
thanks?
What if the motor has a fuel shut off solenoid on the bowl. Does that go to
ReplyDeleteswitched or hot side??
How would you hook up the fuel solenoid?@fearless?
ReplyDeleteIncredible. Exactly the info I needed. Thank you so much!?
ReplyDeleteDo you have a good way to lock the stearing gears to stop them from jumping
ReplyDeleteand not be so weak??
ok so the red wire on my tractor is kinda weird, it puts out like 20volts
ReplyDeleteis that ok or will it wreck my battery??
hey fearless the wire that comes off the alternator that is supposed to do
ReplyDeleteyour lights can you run it back with the wire that has the anti back fire
solenoid that is supposed to recharge your battery, back to the battery
with that wire
thanks?
My mower will start and run as long as you hold the key switch in the Start
ReplyDeleteposition. As soon as you let go and ot moves to the run position it dies.
I've already tried replacing the ignition switch. It looks like all the
safety switches have been bypassed. Any help??
I did the wiring as shown. It has electric fuel bowl how do I do the hook
ReplyDeleteup for that?
