  1. I bought a good, used Husqvarna. The engine keeps running when I get off
the seat. How can I fix this?? I do not see any reason for this to happen,
and I want it to work! I didnt see anything done to the seat switch that
would cause it to not work. It just wont cut the engine off when I get off
    of it.

  2. Hi Beverley, sorry for the late reply. Are you talking about the seal in
the transmission or the steel wheel bushing? Thanks, PED

  3. the seal is sliding out. The seal near the wheel. help please

  4. Thanks for the reply!! It would be a perfect setup if it would not cut off
just by me leaning down. If I do lean down, and shift my left or right
buttocks to the middle of the seat, it will keep running, but I do not like
the backfiring (one pop) that it does (sometimes) when it cuts off and back
on again. Like anything else mechanical, it aint perfect. It sure does run,
and start good! Wished it had a floating deck, like some of the Simplicity
    mowers have!!!!

  5. Unfortunately there is currently no compromise the seat switches are quite
sensitive to changes in weight. The only way you can get off the mower with
it running is disengage the blades and lock the parking break on. That way
you can get off the mower to pick up a stick with the engine still running.
    Thanks, PED

  6. Hi, there is an adjustment which can be made to give you more reverse. We
can repair / rebuild transmissions. Unfortunately there is no rebuild kit
    available.

  7. I looked more closely at the seat switch. Someone had put a large wire tie
around the switch to hold the switch open, or closed, depending on your
perspective. I took it off. Now, the engine backfires, and tries to shut
off every time I lean down to pick up a stick. It works too well. I am
thinking about putting the wire tie back, but after my cousin had a serious
accident from a bypassed switched, I am rather reluctant to put the tie
back on. I wish there was a compromise!

  8. I have a Husqvarna rz4623 while mowing the blades will kick off and few
minutes later back on what could cause this

  9. Don't worry too much about the backfiring it shouldn't cause any damage to
the engine. It commonly occurs with the safety switch setup.

  10. i have the same mower i thing my reverse is about shoot forward is preaty
good,is the trans rebuildable and do they have rebuild kits

  11. Have you replaced the seat switch it may be faulty? Alternatively it sounds
like the switch has been bypassed deliberately. You will need to follow the
wires back from the seat through the wiring loom to see where they have
    been disconnected. Thanks, PED

  12. Oh thanks for that info too! I was concerned that the backfiring would, or
could burn a valve by firing out of time. My Husqy runs so good, I wonder
why the guy got rid of it. But, before I bought it, he said it ran good,
but you know that isnt always the truth. Even the blades looked pretty good
when I got it home. Again, thanks for all the information!

  13. Does your mower have an electric PTO clutch for the blades? In other words
do you turn the blades on by pulling or pushing a switch. If so the blades
turning on and off could be caused by a faulty switch on the dash or a
loose wire near the clutch under the engine. Sometimes a wire will rub
against the clutch causing the insulation to wear away. When the wire
touches the pulley it will short causing the blades to turn off. Check the
wires leading to the clutch under the engine. Thanks, PED

  14. I hav a Husqvarna YTH2148, when I start it, it runs for a few minutes then
the engine cuts out then cuts in and a lot of black smoke then it clears
and runs for a little while and does it all over again. rebuilt carb,
replaced solenoid in carb still does it. Could the problem be in the
governer?? Or where could the problem be???? ?

  16. just replaced the left spinde assy and made a couple passes. All sounded
well at first and then it started making a noise on the side of the new
spindle. Removed guard and noise remained. There is no grease fitting on
    this new spindle.
    Any ideas? Thanks?

  17. I have a husq cth191 the engine runs fine, blades engage ok but when I
lower the deck the engine struggles & cuts out, if I raise the deck quickly
it goes as normal, I didnt think the lowering of the deck has any
electrical connection to the engine, any ideas??

  21. I have a Husqvarna YTH2546 TD with the Kohler Engine with a major problem,
Problem is when used on the “slightest of Right hand angle Lawns” it
bellows out Loads of White/Blue Smoke
So much that you can’t see where you’re going. There is a slight knocking
    noise when this happens.
It’s as if Oil is being poured into the Carburetor Oil level is !00%.
There are times where I have to mow on a Right hill, and on checking the
oil level after it has gone down to below the Normal Level.?
