    ton of repairing

  2. According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), a new gas
powered lawn mower produces volatile organic compounds and nitrogen oxides
emissions air pollution in in in one hour of operation as 11 new cars each
    being driven for one hour.

  3. How many hours...The offical max is 75 minutes. I myself have mowed for and
hour and had lots of power left. 5 acres does not seem possible in one go.
You would have to recharge in the middle somewhere.

  4. Can you tell me if it uses generic batteries, or are forced to buy special
battery packs from Ariens? Also does it have a trailer hitch on the back?

  5. 5 acres is too muc for one go.Maybe in two charge cycles.

  6. Oh yeah Gasoline spillage from lawn mowers is crazy I will not quote
anything you can look it up. Its crazy. Then to know that i only takes 1
drop of gas to destroy gallons of water. Why not switch Electric has more
    torque. .

  7. You're comparing apples to oranges in comparing a lawn mower to a power
plant, obviously. Power plants have restrictions placed on how much they
are permitted to pollute, lawn mowers do not Unless you're in California.
Depending on which state you are in much of a power plants power may come
from nuclear energy, solar, wind and natural gas. These sources do not
pollute. You're dead wrong on the facts and your tone is hostile and
typical of someone losing a debate.

  8. He's correct, if you want the data use your search engine and you can
verify it, actually I think he has understated the pollution of a standard
gasoline lawn mower according to most of what I've read.

  9. America has no common sense rules anymore. Polluting for pleasure! Pleasure
Boat, energy guzzeling. And their use to be a rule about kids & tractors,
power mower, machines. I thought the first kid was too young, then the next
    one!

  10. can I use this on 5 acres? and how many hours non stop working?

  11. Read article at: peoplepoweredmachines (dot) com. It has great info on
    lawn mowers, based on facts.

  12. Actually I have a solar panel on my truck with an inverter that charges my
batteries with clean power. At home all my energy comes from clean energy
sources as well. In California you can have the option of where you get
your power from. I am 100% clean. I also use bio diesel for my truck.
Battery technology is getting cleaner and cleaner they now rebuild them
everywhere so that you are not just throwing them away. I say support the
company that is trying to make a difference.

  14. @takobaka5 , There is just no political backbone in this country to
regulate small engines. Most of the air polution, I as a person have
generated in my lifetime has overwhelemingly come from small engines. This
is probably true for most homes. In his book "Polluting for Pleasure"
Andrew Mele claims that powerboats in the U.S. create nearly as much
atmospheric pollution as all American automobiles and spill 15 times more
oil into the water than the Exxon Valdez every year.

  15. It SOUNDS like a ton of mosquitos :-)

  16. @dahur , It does not have a hitch, though I added one easily. There is a
strong back plate. The batteries are pretty basic AGM batteries, but they
combine a 4 small ones to make a 48v sub-pack, and there are 5 of these.
You could make it yourself. Though if you go to that trouble, it may be
    better to use Li cells

  17. I don't care an iota about saving the planet, but a battery powered rider
would be cool, quiet, no gas to buy, no oil changes, no hard starting, no
tune ups. It's worth looking into.?

  18. Hey do you still use the riding mower? It looks well built.?

  19. i like to pollute. 2 stroke lawn boys are fun as well as non-catalytic
converted, carbureted big blocks from the late 60's and early 70's. don't
even get me started on old 2 stroke detroit diesels...?
